OUR STORY
Prong Horn Saddle and Iron was founded on the idea of tradition and family. That is why all our Pack Saddle trees are made from traditional cottonwood. All our Iron is hand forged, and all our free time is spent living life to the fullest. We are truly blessed to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth and spend our time doing what we love!
Each piece that comes out of our shop is an extension of our family. We are excited to be able to bring you a high quality product with work that is guaranteed.

Our Lifestyle
We work hard to play hard! You can always find us on some kind of adventure. Riding, fishing, jeeping, rodeos, traveling, we do it all! This year, we have spent a lot of time attending Mule Days Shows across the west and having an absolute blast doing it. We meet the best people who also like to spend time in the outdoors.

About our Deckers
Every part of our Cottonwood Decker trees are manufactured in house. Allowing quality control to be at the highest grade possible. We source the wood locally, forge our own hoops and finish every saddle with a hand sand and application of oil.
Every saddles’ construction begins with a solid cottonwood tree that is manufactured in our shop. Our traditional Decker hoops are made from 3⁄4” cold rolled steel. We have designed them to stand taller than standard saddles. This allows for packers to stow ropes and still have room to work while saddling and hanging panniers.
The hoops are attached with flat head stainless steel screws that are countersunk and fastened to the bars with a recessed ‘T’ nut. The countersunk holes in the underside of the bar are then filled with all-weather wood filler, sanded and hand finished with linseed oil.
